College Optical is looking for a full time (40 hours/week) salesperson.
This position requires a positive, friendly and outgoing personality. Above all else, the ability to be helpful in the sales of frames and lenses to all patients who walk through the door is by far the MOST important desired skill.
Applicants should be detail oriented and able to multi-task. Applicants should be comfortable with all aspects of working on a busy sales floor and providing an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-greeting patients and checking them in and out
-assisting patients with the purchasing of new frames and lenses.
-insurance verification (via web or phone, for both medical eye care and routine vision care)
-explaining insurance benefits to patients
-requesting payment from patients
-faxing correspondence to other health care providers and patients
-electronically entering customers prescription and sales information
-scheduling patient appointments
-assisting with patient phone calls
-assist in general opening/closing duties and light housekeeping
-the filing of physical files
-other responsibilities that may arise in the course of a normal work day
The person in this role must be comfortable with assisting patients with their purchase of new frames and lenses. An important aspect of this process is being able to speak with patients and building relationships. Our office prides itself on offering superior customer service. The person in this position should be ready to help every patient receive exceptional service.
Our office is always changing and improving, the applicant must be able to adapt to new software and office policies as the office finds new and better ways to provide more efficient patient care.
Experience in eye care preferred but not required. We are a friendly, hardworking team, and hope to find the right person to join us.
Office Hours:
Monday Friday 9am to 6pm.
Saturday 9am to 6pm. (Saturday work is required)
