Motive Retail offers integration solutions to the automotive, collision, construction and powersports industries. Motive Integrator is an integration platform that enables Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)s, such as automobile manufacturers, to define, implement and manage their retail APIs and rollout across their trading partners such as dealer system provider applications. Among other things, the platform facilitates building and testing specifications, testing and certifying systems, reporting data, and managing projects. Most of our clients implement XML and JSON based B2B APIs.

The Technical Support Manager will be a key member of the Service Delivery team for system integration projects. Our clients implement many XML-based B2B APIs, and we provide services and tools to help the implementation and testing of those APIs as they are rolled out to 3rd parties.

This is an integral role, providing technical and project support to software companies around the globe who are implementing new interfaces using our software platform. It will ensure timely resolution of all inbound inquiries through data analysis, system testing, requirement reviews and other available tools for resolving issues. It will also proactively monitor progress of each 3rd party project and communicate with project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects. This role is expected to continually grow and expand knowledge of supported integrations in order to improve our software platform, project set-up and ultimately to reduce inbound support tickets. This role will have involvement in all aspects of our service delivery and client management and will work with key automotive clients managing major global integration programs.

Responsibilities

Serve as the front line, technical support for incoming queries and issues coming from external software development teams related to any of our supported integration projects which are configured in the Motive Integrator platform

Troubleshoot third party system files and communication errors

Provide project management and oversight to ensure all key project deliverables are delivered on time and with high quality to our clients.

Implement improvements to our delivery process and tools which maximize the productivity of our team and leverage our IP.

Evaluate documented resolutions and make improvements to integration requirements, testing configuration or platform in order to prevent future problems.

Proactively contact 3rd parties to monitor status, resolve any roadblocks and ensure they are able to complete projects on time

Train users on the Motive Integrator software platform

Gather end-user project feedback in order to identify enhancement or process improvement opportunities

Work with our product team to build new requirements for the Motive Integrator platform

Pitch in where needed to ensure were always exceeding our clients expectations.

Required Skills

Advanced problem solving and analytical mindset

Experience with XML and XSLT and XML tools such as Liquid XML, XML Spy or Oxygen is desirable

Experience with B2B Web Services and tools such as SoapUI and/or Postman

Experience with software development processes, testing and technical documentation

Client management skills “ able to work with a broad range of clients in technical and management areas, varying levels of seniority and global locations

Comfortable with presentations and managing multi-disciplinary web meetings

Strong critical thinking skills, deep analytical skills and good judgment/decision-making ability

Excellent oral and written communication skills, very detail oriented
