Job Summary

CREATAVhas a rare opportunity for an experienced Lead AV Technician to join our small team. Were seeking someone with a passion for the industry and a desire to be a team player in a growing local company. The lead technician will be responsible for the complete technical configuration, installation and integration of high-end residential electronic systems (and occasional commercial projects). Projects include, audio/video, home theater, lighting control, low-voltage lighting systems, shades/window treatments, home networks,surveillance, climate control systems, and integration of all systems. This person will be responsible for completion of entire projects or assigned portions of projects in a timely and responsible manner, while providing team leadership as needed. Additionally, the Lead Technician is responsible for helping manage customer relationships by providingprofessional, courteous support at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Technician will play an active role in the installationand integration of high-end residential electronic systems. Small to large-scale AV systems to including home automation, audio/video, home theater, lighting control, low-voltage lighting systems, shades/window treatments, home networks, surveillance, and climate control systems (and others as assigned).

Technician will execute the proper installation of all AV equipment according to specified design layouts and company standards.

Technician will be able to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.

Technician willcoordinate field install and customer tech support as needed.

Technician willmaintain and update programming/code in installed systems.

Technician willtrain clients on system use.

Technician willact as customer liaison for the company. Must be responsive, efficient, have excellent customer interaction, and exhibit a high level of professionalism at all times.

Technician will help train and supervise less-experienced AV technicians andprovide assistance and instruction to other team members as needed.

Technician will coordinate equipmentdelivery and associated responsibilities.

Technician will ensure that the trash associated with a project is disposed of/recycled properly and the job site is always clean and tidy.

Technician will travel to various job sites as needed, in the Boulder/Denver area.

Technician will be required to log client hours and report job progress, materials used etc to supervisor on a weekly basis.

Technician will manage and keep inventory of stock supplies, hardware, tools etc and report to supervisor on an ongoing basis.

Other duties as assigned based on company need.

Skills and Abilities

Successful candidates will have experience in all phases of a residential electronic integration projects including site preparation, rough-in work, retrofit wiring, trim-out, cable terminations, rack building, signal distribution, and equipment configuration and setup.

Must be proficient with hand and power tools to complete physical installations.

Must be a self-starter capable of working independently with an understanding of the importance of on-time project completion.

Must have the ability to lead with confidence and supervise others.

Must be a dependable team player with a strong work ethic and a dedication to continued learning and advancement.

Must have the ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels.

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, and exhibit a high level of professionalism at all times.

Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem solving skills are required.

Must be comfortable working in a demanding environment. The job requires independent and confident thinking, self-motivation, determination, focus, attention to detail and punctuality.

Job requires sitting, prolonged standing, walking, handling, gripping, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead with force. Also requires stooping, crouching, crawling on knees and work along floors/sub floors.

Must be able to physically transport ladders and lift ladders off of vehicle roof racks. Must be comfortable climbing and standing on ladders and scaffolding.

Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds, sometimes overhead.

Qualifications

Valid Drivers License and a clean driving record.

Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation.

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelors Degree is preferred)

Must have strong experience (preferred 3-5+ years) working with, installing, configuring and integrating high-end residential electronics systems.

Must have strong understanding of signal flow and control systems.

Must have demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problem installations at a system and component level.

Must have strong understanding of programming concepts, system design, changes and troubleshooting (Programming experience preferred but not required)

Familiarity with the following technologies is preferred, but not required: Crestron, Lutron, Vantage, Sonos, Dynaudio, Samsung, Sony

Salary dependent on experience.

Employment is subject to a 90-day probationary period.
