Melton is seeking a full-time Lead Carpenter to join our growing production team!
Position Overview
The Lead Carpenter position is a supervisor and craftsman with extensive skill and experience necessary to manage job sites with multiple employees and trade contractors. This position must be able to ensure exceptional quality of work representing Meltons high level or standards and provide exceptional customer service.
Skills & Knowledge
Extensive knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices and procedures.
Possesses a high level of professionalism with interacting with clients.
Proficient in blueprint reading.
Able to do layout, framing and finish work.
Possesses mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do material and labor estimates and weekly cost analysis.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of construction safety and OSHA regulations.
Possess high level of quality control standards and ensures on-site team adheres to these standards.
Able to organize progress of multiple employees and trade contractors on a single job site.
Able to quickly identify potential scheduling conflicts and generate/implement needed modifications.
