Still fueled by these values of excellence and customer service, we are now a large local mover and a top booking agent for Bekins Van Lines. We currently have a winter-level operations team of 25-30 team members with field staff numbering 25+.

We are looking for skilled moving and storage operations team member with experience in building field operations, drivers and fleet.

Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall productivity, efficiency and quality of all local, long distance and storage operations including dispatch, safety, loss prevention, customer satisfaction and fleet management. The Operations Manager will primarily focus on:

Gross profit and profit margins for both local and long-distance operations

Growth of team members from new hires through advancement into sales, operations execution team, or van line driver

Maintaining companys excellent reputation

Description of Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing, tracking and reporting on the following as well as any specific assignments or additional responsibilities as agreed upon with the General Manager.

Strategic planning and goal management for the department

Long-term asset planning and management

Maximization of resources utilization over needs

Staff management and supervision

Staff recruitment

Department training and development programs

Development and documentation of department policy, procedures and processes

Interstate fleet development and management

Storage in Transit (SIT) and local storage management

Warehouse asset management

Department revenue goals and budget

Workman compensation
