In this 6+ month contract role, you will be working onsite in a Broomfield, CO facility. If you are not local you need to have the ability to travel on-site at least 1x a month for a week at a time.As the SDET you will be a part of the Systems QA team working on a dynamic/emerging motorization capability for the window shadings business that is the fastest-growing segment of the company. This position is part of an agile team of highly skilled testers and developers creating industry-leading motorized, connected, automated, products for Client.
Job DescriptionYou will be designing, coding and deploying automated tests for mobile applications, smart home applications, and other network and cloud-based products that interact with our shading products.Applications include: Android and iOS customer-facing and internal mobile apps, BLE devices, BLE/REST integration with the on-premise PowerView Gateway IoT device, Google/AWS cloud services, and 3rd party Smart Home applications, such as Google Assistant, Alexa and Apple HomeKit. meKit. Essential Functions- Create/ code, maintain, and execute automated tests for user acceptance, regression, scalability, and performance.
- Work with development teams and systems QA to define acceptance criteria for user stories.
- Align with engineering and management to identify gaps in functional coverage.
- Log, track, and manage defect issues.
- Provide go-live readiness assessments for sprint and program milestones.
- Analyze and reproduce field issues reported by Alpha/Beta program users.
- Exhibit actionable insights that drive future functional and design improvements.
- Expert knowledge of agile SQA methodologies, tools and processes.
- Advanced knowledge of testing native and hybrid mobile apps for Android and iOS devices, network and IoT devices, REST, web, and cloud API.
- Experienced in designing, coding, and deploying system, regression, and Behavior-Driven (BDD) tests using frameworks like NUnit, Jasmine/Jest, Jbehave with C#, java, python, javascript and typescript
- Proven experience in developing GUI test automation using frameworks such as: Selenium, Appium and Ranorex and functional testing with unit test frameworks such as xUnit and Jest.
- Experience with wireless systems, including Bluetooth and WiFi
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools and processes
- Proficient in Test Case and Defect Management tools, such as JIRA, Clubhouse, GitLab and TestRails
- Familiarity with Linux, REST, NoSQL, AppCenter, cloud services, XCode and Android Studio
- Familiarity with ambient computing, including Google Assistant, Alexa and Apple HomeKit
- Solid Knowledge of bug tracking lifecycle
