GA-EMS’ expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Satellite Ground Systems Architect to join our team located in Centennial, CO.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical oversight and direction of the Ground Systems engineering team. Ensure end-to-end ground system is design, integrated and tested to support current and upcoming missions. Develop ground system architecture which addresses hardware, software, network and cyber security requirements. Develop technology roadmap for evolution and enhancement of current system capabilities. Oversee development of ground system requirements, ICDs and test plans/procedures. Support program design and readiness reviews. Liaise with all levels of program and engineering staff on design, integration and test matters and support other teams/disciplines as necessary. Support mission and system design on missions from bid generation through launch and operations. Formulate and maintain development plans and schedule inputs as execution occurs. Apply technical knowledge to determine and set technical objectives to analyze, investigate and resolve advanced engineering problems; including future applications, and engineering developments. Solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem. Liaise with customer and supplier staff, government representatives and other professionals. Performs other duties as assigned or required. We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.Job Qualifications: Essential QualificationsTypically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; twelve or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, ten or more years of experience with a masters degree, or seven or more years with a PhD.

May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education. Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership.

Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other departments, customers, government representatives, and/or professionals; the capability of representing the organization as a prime technical contact; and, the ability to provide leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals.

Must be customer focused and able to work on a self- initiated basis or in a team environment and able to work extended hours and travel as required.

A Professional Engineering License, original work(s) published in professional engineering journals, invited to present one or more original works to an engineering symposium, and invited and/or participated on an engineering review panel are desirable.

Understanding of how cyber security controls translate into hardware and software requirements and implementation.

Experience with logical and physical network design.

Understanding of satellite operations, procedures, anomaly resolution processes.

At least 5 years of experience in requirements and interface control document development for space systems.

At least 5 years of experience in C2 systems engineering, system architecture and/or ground SW architecture.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required
