Must Haves:
  • BS in Related Field.
  • Understanding of electrical systems and data transfer signal types and limitations
  • Knowledge of interface and design documentation such as Functional block diagrams
  • Computer Aided Drafting/Design (AutoCAD preferred)
  • Knowledge of aviation or aerospace industry standard fabrication and assembly practices
  • Basic understanding of FAA and/or military airworthiness requirements
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Preferred:
  • Test definition/setup/execution experience to aid in troubleshooting aircraft electrical systems and power distribution
  • Experience with military specs and standards
  • Experience interfacing with a military customer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Understand, plan, and execute technical activities in accordance with SNC policies, procedures, and work instructions and specific Customer requirements
  • Execute engineering design and development activities consistent with Customer quality, cost, and schedule requirements
  • Participate in design integration with customer requirements and industry standards
  • Design and liaison of aircraft electrical systems utilizing military and commercial design standards, customer specifications, and system requirements documents utilizing CAD.
  • Provide liaison to production and manufacturing for interpretation of systems/electrical engineering design/drawings.
  • Coordinate activities to evaluate and resolve engineering related production problems encountered in aircraft manufacturing, electrical installations, and modification facilities.
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to maintain current knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
  • Perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning, production control, product assurance, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering.
  • Confer with product assurance, planning, manufacturing, operations, and other department personnel to provide technical support and to facilitate the correction of errors on drawings and documents identified during manufacturing operations.
  • Investigate reports of defective, damaged, or malfunctioning connectors, equipment, or systems to determine nature and scope of problem.
  • Examine, measure, inspect, or test defective parts in support of QC/QA for conformance to engineering design drawings or specifications using test procedures and testing instruments, devices, and equipment.
  • Evaluate findings to formulate corrective action plan and coordinate implementation of plan.
  • Maintain records or oversee recording of information by others to ensure engineering drawings and documents are current and that engineering-related production problems and resolutions are documented.
  • Serve as a member of Material Review Board to determine disposition of defective or damaged electrical components and parts.
  • Verify and validate engineering Technical Data Packages (TDPs) during aircraft modification activities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Review Anticipated Labor Utilization as applicable to position as stated in the Business Area Labor Utilization Matrix
COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external)
  • Responsible for timely execution of all personnel-related activities such as Time Sheet completion, Performance Evaluations, Salary Reviews, Succession Planning, etc.
  • Responsible for leadership oversight and for ensuring Department/Team training

  • Ability to travel occasionally required
  • Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, as defined by management

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $69,960.25 - $96,195.35
