The DevOps lead will lead a team to work across multiple programs setting up consistent and efficient CI/CD pipeline ensuring we are delivering to our customer quickly and with high quality. We are mission focused, agile, and take innovation seriously.Essential Functions:
Architecting, analyzing, designing, and hands-on developing release automation for operations and applications
Creating and implementing technical roadmaps for DevOps “in the future”; presenting to Sr. Leadership and gaining buy-in
Defining best practices, guidelines and standards that balance short term and long term objectives in a practical manner
Creating tools to allow development teams to self-serve their platform needs (continuous integration / delivery pipeline); guiding teams to
Create and monitor health checks for the services on our programs
Establish and implement resiliency and performance testing
Continuously iterate and improve our systems
Working closely with multiple teams; communicating to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; daily interaction with developers and participation in the development process is required
Creating training and on-boarding materials for all new engineers.
Qualifications:
Top Secret security clearance
BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience, and 9 years of related experience
3+ years’ experience leading teams developing DevOps pipelines.
5+ years’ experience in the following:
Linux administration using a terminal application in Centos/Redhat
Developing docker or OCI build files
Developing docker-compose, Kubernetes and helm files for container orchestration
Managing CI/CD servers and agents in Jenkins or similar application
Familiarity with managing Jira, Mattermost, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Artifactory
Preferred Additional Skills:
Managing automated configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Developing infrastructure as code files in yml for tools like Ansible and Kubernetes
Managing virtualization infrastructure like ESXI and VMware.
Experience with PKS/Tanzu
Managing containers and/or Kubernetes, including configuring secrets, networks, volumes, and namespaces
Managing users, groups and roles in IPA or another LDAP application
Installing and using Cybersecurity tools like ACAS or twistlock to monitor compliance with NIST and DISA standards
Experience with Networking configuration including setting up DNS, VLANs, and Routing tables
Developing and managing service mesh configurations for Istio
Developing CI/CD configuration as code such as Jenkins files, bamboo-specs, or travis.yml files
Managing Certificate Authorities and updating, generating, and signing certificates
Experience with deploying and synchronizing classified offline developmental environment through a multi-level security guard
Problem solving skills, willingness to learn new technologies
Results-oriented, organized, detail oriented and self-directed
Agile team environment
