Job Description
$1000 (FT)/$500 (PT) Sign-on Bonus! Split 25% at 1 month, 25% at 3 months, 50% at 1 year.
The maintenance assistant provides support and receives direction from the Maintenance Director in the day to day community operations, preventative maintenance, room upgrades, and other projects as needed.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Ensures buildings and equipment are properly cleaned and in good working condition, makes minor repairs as needed.
- Responds to routine and emergency calls for service
- Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
- Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets as well as unclogging of drains, etc.).
- Landscaping & snow plowing
- Performs minor painting, carpentry, laminate, vinyl and tile repair.
- Installs and repairs miscellaneous accessories and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Team player
- Hard working/self starter
- Great at time management and prioritizing multiple tasks
- One year of facility maintenance or related experience
- A strong desire to work in the facility maintenance field
- Freedom from illegal use of drugs
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Fantastic problem solving skills
- Good with people and communicating with seniors
