This position will require you to serve as the interface between multiple customers to include SRO Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Space Operations Command (SpOC), USSF Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Rapid Capabilities Office (Space RCO), other mission partner program offices and stakeholders. What You Will Be Doing:- Participate in technical assessments that define the future Space Control Force Design and identify recommended performance parameters at the mission and system level; translate these recommendations to mid-tier operational requirements (e.g., CDDs & CPDs); work with program offices to translate operational requirements down to the system level (e.g., SRDs & TRDs); make recommendations on funding priorities.
- Provide timely and relevant responses to Government questions/requests on technical and programmatic Space Control issues. Provide technical inputs to the Government to aid in their development of position papers and official responses to Senior Leaders across the Government and Aerospace.
- Become a valued added member of the team within the Division supporting Space Control, building, and sustaining value-added and mission enabling strategic relationships with the Space Control community; including but not limited to Aerospace, FFRDCs, government and other representatives supporting partner customer organizations
- Coordinate closely with Aerospace personnel in other organizations to facilitate integration and cohesion across the space warfighting enterprise.
- Build value added teams within Aerospace and with other organizations .
- Be a proactive, fast learner with the willingness and ability to work in a dynamic hi-visibility environment with routine engagement with the most executive levels of government and decision makers.
- Have 12 or more years of combined experience in Space Control operations, and/or development/engineering, and/or program management.
- Experience in Space Control systems technologies, capabilities, acquisition, and an understanding of space and ground systems development.
- Current knowledge of Space Control systems challenges and opportunities.
- Excellent full-spectrum communication and interpersonal skills; adept at written and oral communication spanning a wide range of levels of detail and communication media/processes.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (in engineering, mathematics, science, computer science, or other technical discipline, and demonstrated experience within the Space Control mission area.
- Ability to travel regularly (4-12 times/year).
- Current TS/SCI security clearance as issued by the US government, and ability to maintain it. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, science, computer science, or other technical discipline.
- Familiarity with Department of the Air Force/USSF/National Security Space planning and requirements processes. Working knowledge of Aerospace FFRDC roles and responsibilities and key Aerospace organizational skills and capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability as a self-starter, in strategic planning and in working effectively with other contractors, FFRDCs, peers, and government customers at all levels
- Previous experience working with organizations in the Pentagon.
- Experience working large, complex issues and the ability to break down problems into meaningful steps to accomplish with a team.
- Current Special Access Program (SAP) clearances.
