Description We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our client's team on a temp to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a knack for solving problems and a detail-oriented mindset. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, records, and reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements.Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts.
Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and inter-company general ledger accounts.
Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts.
Assist with initial internal control evaluations.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Solicit, collect, and organize documentation for yearly audits.
Stay updated with industry changes and advancements in technology relevant to the job.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge in Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
