Security Design Consulting (SDC) is a low voltage systems design firm based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, specializing in the design of Security Electronic Systems for justice facilities (jails, prisons, courts, police stations). SDC is a new and growing firm with a lot of work and great opportunities to grow and develop in the company. We are seeking Entry Level Drafter, Mid-Level Designer, or an Experienced Security Electronics Designer / Engineer.

Entry Level Drafter:

Seeking someone who can immediately take the role of AutoCAD/Revit Drafter and can also be or become a Security Electronics Systems Designer. Applicant needs to understand and be experienced with the basics of AutoCAD and Revit 3D BIM software. Willing to train the right person with current drafting ability to be a Security Electronics Designer.

Mid-Level Low Voltage Systems Designer:

Seeking a full-time employee to provide low voltage security electronics design and engineering services. You will develop and coordinate system design drawings in Revit and AutoCAD. You will utilize architectural 3D models or 2D plans, provided by others, to design and overlay low voltage security electronics systems. The position includes creating and designing security electronics system models that will coordinate with architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and other disciplines. You will need to collaborate with these various disciplines to produce 3D models or 2D plans and construction drawings for projects.

Experienced Security Electronics Designer / Engineer:

Experienced with all the above and have a minimum of five years working in the industry designing and overseeing the installation of security electronics systems. Must have experience in:

1) reviewing and editing technical specifications

2) creating security electronics design and system functional diagrams

3) presenting, coordinating, and improving security electronics design

4) problem solving difficult design and installation related issues

5) product research

5) product submittal review and shop drawing review

6) installation review

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

Autodesk Revit

Autodesk AutoCAD

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bluebeam

MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
