In-Home Caregiver (Colorado Springs)

Colorado, Colorado springs 00000 Colorado springs USA

Vacancy expired!

IN A NUTSHELL: Mountain View Home Care is looking for caregivers who will provide services to clients in their homes to support activities of daily living. Assignments are in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas in El Paso county.

MORE SPECIFIC: With staff supervision, caregivers (a.k.a. Personal Care Workers or PCWs) assist clients with services that include personal care (such as helping clients with bathing, dressing, and ambulation) and homemaking (such as doing laundry, shopping, and preparing meals). This enables clients to continue living at home despite disability or old age. Some PCWs may receive additional training to be an Attendant, allowing them to provide individualized health maintenance services under the direction of the client and a nurse. No medical certification is required, but relevant background and experience is preferred (such as basic first aid, infection control, basic precautions, assisted living, personal care, etc).

WE HIRE CAREGIVERS (Personal Care Workers and Attendants) who are dependable, conscientious, patient, compassionate, respectful, and who enjoy helping others. They are able to reliably and effectively communicate with staff and clients, both verbally and in writing, and follow rules, directions, and policies.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle; cell phone and regular access to a personal email account; ability to safely bear at least 25 pounds.

SOME DETAILS: starting pay rate = $11.10/hour + standard travel mileage reimbursements.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Mountain View Home Care is a Colorado Licensed Home Care Agency and Certified Health First Colorado Home- and Community-Based Services Provider committed to offering an alternative to institutionalized care for the elderly and disabled by supporting their safety, well-being, and independence through provision of personal care, homemaking, and health maintenance services. We value and foster meaningful and mutually respectful relationships among staff, caregivers, clients and other community members.

TO APPLY: Send us an email with your resume, cover letter (optional), and any questions. Please also mention (in a cover letter or the email) why you are a good candidate for this job and what motivates you to apply. You will then receive a response email with a brief survey requesting some additional information. Our PRN positions are filled based on a combination of client needs and caregiver performance. Thank you for your interest in supporting wellbeing in our community!
