Dock/Warehouse Worker, Auction Helper
Job Responsibilities include:
Lifting/Moving household furniture and boxes: Must be able to lift 50-100lbs regularly
Unpacking Boxes/Sorting household items: Must be able to work independently and stay on task. Ability to make quick decisions a plus. Worker will need to merchandise and sort like items into groupings.
Customer Service: Worker will be assisting customers loading and unloading furniture and household items on a daily basis. Will also assist customers face to face on auction days. Must be able to assist with customer service related phone calls when needed.
Ability to be in front of large crowds of people: Worker will assist during two weekly auctions showcasing items in front of an audience.
Ability to work flexible schedule: Tues-Wed 9am-5pm, Thursdays 9am-5pm or later (auction setup day, end of day can extend to 9:30pm during busy season), Friday & Saturdays flexible (must be available between 9am-4pm)
General Skills Needed:
Listening skills, common sense, and ability to change easily
Current drivers license and ability to drive manual transmission vehicle preferred.
Basic math, writing, grammar and communication skills needed
Ability to stand on feet for more than 8hrs per day.
Previous merchandising or sales experience a plus.
