RJ Montgomery Homeless Center Case Manager

The case manager will do an assessment and goal intake on residents at our homeless shelter, as well as work with Veterans in our Veterans program. The Case Manager will maintain accurate case notes on each person they work with, facilitate life skill courses, develop short and long term goals with families, and individuals, actively support the mission and goals of The Salvation Army and other duties. This is a full time position with full medical benefits.
Position Qualifications:
Associates degree, bachelors preferred in a Human Service field
Minimum of three years in case management or related field.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Experience working with homeless population
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to maintain a strength based and client center approach
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to do an intake and goal assessment
Ability to travel to other sites for case management
Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training.
