Foundation for Successful Living is seeking a Peer Partner in the Colorado Springs, CO area to join our growing team. Peer Partners support our clients while they participate in activities of choice in their communities. Activities involve volunteering at local venues as well as participating in recreational opportunities.

The FSL Mission is to create purposeful and meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in and contribute to the communities in which they live. We strive to provide learning opportunities to maximize an individual's potential to learn, function, and flourish and our facility serves as a place for education, community building and family support. Peer Partner Duties:

Provides and encourages natural supports to their clients.

Participates in the implementation of Individual Support Plans.

Documents the activities of their clients.

Treats all clients, their parents and staff with dignity and respect.

Supports clients in choosing their activities based on their client's interests.

Immediately reports any suspicions of abuse, neglect, or criminal activity.

Follows HIPAA policies regarding confidentiality of their clients.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old with the ability to pass a federal background check.

Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for FSL clients.

Excellent communication skills.

Demonstrates good judgment & professionalism.

Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance with an acceptable driving record per FSL standards

CPR, First Aid & CPI must be obtained within the first 30 days of hire.

Daily walking, lifting, and standing for long periods of time.

Ability to work assigned work shift.
