STAFF ACCOUNTANT FOR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY

A rapidly growing investment firm in the Denver Tech Center is seeking an experienced staff accountant to assist with its property management operations. This accountant will be responsible for the accurate maintenance of books and records for a portfolio of multi-family properties. All financial statements must be submitted promptly and accurately in accordance with all accounting policies and procedures. Office is modern and full of wonderful outgoing professionals. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Cut all checks, reconcile A/P A/R;

2) Review pre-close financial statements;

3) Review final-close financial statements;

4) Re-class accruals;

5) Reconcile banks;

6) Monthly reporting review;

7) Compile reports as needed for management, lenders, investors;

8) Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation worksheets;

9) Assists in the analysis and variance explanations for the financial statements;

10) Comply with Company policies and procedures, accounting policies and procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required from an accredited four-year college or university;

2) Minimum of 1 - 3 years accounting experience;

3) Knowledge of Microsoft office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook;

4) Real estate accounting experience preferred;

5) Experience with QuickBooks, preferred experience with Rent Manager, QB, MRI, Entrata Software;

6) Ability to follow established procedures;

7) Ability to read, understand and analyze financial statements;

8) Capable of working independently;

9) Ability to set goals;

10) Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately, timely and consistently;

11) Ability to meet deadlines timely, accurately, and consistently;

12) Strong written and verbal communication skills;

13) Ability to multitask;

14) Detail-oriented;

15) Strong organizational skills
