Aveda Institute Denver is a school for cosmetology, Esthiology, massage therapy and barbering. Our students provide Aveda salon and spa experiences at a relaxed price. The guest services department includes the combination of the Aveda Experience Center (retail sales and education, product experiences, and salon management: checking in/out guests, appointment setting, managing the books, and reviewing guest service experiences with our students), and the Reservations Department (call center).
We are hiring full and part time team members looking for long-term employment and growth within our company that can serve in both roles rotating between our retail experience center and working in the call center.
Responsiblities include:
- Aveda retail sales and product education and experiences, offering Aveda rituals to guests
- Delivering world-class customer service through booking appointments via Salon Biz, in person or over the phone, use of our smart booking systems and supporting students by ensuring books are organized and managed efficiently
- Checking in/out guests, appointment setting and supporting education by managing the books
- booking in our call center for all our locations in several states
- supporting admissions calls
- attending self-paced, in-class Education or workshops about Aveda
- learning about Institute educational programs
Minimum requiements:
- at least 2 years working in retail sales, salon or a call center
- at least 2 years experience working in customer service
- excellent communication skills with attention to detail in proper spelling, data entry and verbal linguistics
- professional attire, aesthetic and behavior (as a beauty company, we believe in representing our brand to the fullest by having groomed hair, skin and makeup that inspires our guests)
- must be able to stand up to 10 hours while working in retail or sit up to 9 hours with breaks provided
- must physically be able to stand, sit, reach, lift, bend and some heavy lifting may be necessary
- proof of longevity with former employment lasting at least 2 years
- experience working in a fast-paced, high volume company
- familiar with beauty brands, especially Aveda (if new to this brand, we encourage you to learn about our mission and values online at aveda.com prior to applying)
- high school graduate or GED; college or beauty school graduates preferred but not required
- at least 2 professional references
