Community Support Services, Inc. is accepting applications for Host Home Providers. This is an Independent Contractor position. In addition, we are currently accepting applications for Respite Host Home Providers. We look for individuals and couples who are sincere in their commitment and desire to care for and provide quality services and supports to the people we support.

person you are supporting?

o Can you provide 24 hour supervision knowing that some of the people we support attend a day program or

work regularly?

Community Support Services, Inc. will provide:

Extensive, free training to prepare you for your Host Home position. All training is in-house and includes:

formal orientation, Defensive Driving, First Aid and CPR, Medication Administration and Safety Care.

Individualized training about the person you will support in your home.

Ample opportunity to get to know the person you may potentially support in your home with our initial

meeting and visitation process.

Access to 24 hour support from our Nurse for medical questions and concerns.

Access to 24 hour support for assistance from Administrative and Management staff.

Skills/Requirements

PLEASE NOTE:

Host Home Providers are Independent Contractors and not employees of the company.

We have a 2 interview process, conduct formal background and motor vehicle background checks, as well as personal and work references, and everyone must complete Formal Orientation prior to anyone moving in the individual home.

As an independent contractor, Host Home Providers Applicants must pass a screening process; Criminal Background and Motor Vehicle Record checks; have a valid driver’s license and insured reliable vehicle for transportation; register for a trade name; provide proof of current auto, homeowners/renters, and general liability insurances. A High School diploma or GED is required. The home must meet safety requirements.

Applicants must have flexibility to complete our training upon hire. All Training is typically held Monday through Friday, and occasional weekends. Experience preferred however not required.
