Atrilogys direct client is looking or a Network Engineer to help build its FTTH Network. This is a 6 month contract to hire and can sit remotely in Colorado. Title : Network Engineer Location : Remote (Colorado) Duration : 6-month contract to hire Network Engineer Our client is looking for a full-time Network Engineer to help build its FTTH network. This position involves leveraging cutting-edge networking technologies to support an ISP startup operation. You will work as part of a small and versatile team to build a world-class operation that involves working with routers, various carrier-class network equipment, servers, WiFi devices, PON and other gear. You will support other team members and customers with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and training. The position is a full-time position that also requires participation in an after-hours on-call support program. This is a unique opportunity to get involved in cutting-edge startup operating in a growing industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides tier 2 and tier 3 technical support
- Provides technical support for Residential & Business Broadband Services
- Provides technical assistance in the operation and maintenance of a multi-vendor, multi-service Enterprise network
- Ability to learn administration and maintenance of Unix and Windows-based servers and applications
- Appropriately escalates critical network outage conditions to Network Service Tech and Engineering staff
- Follows detailed, technical MOPs (Methods of Procedure) for maintenance and upgrades of network equipment
- Aids in troubleshooting network problems in order to restore service impacts
- Attends training to advance technical skills in telecommunications and enterprise networks
- Proven experience in a network engineer role
- Minimum three years experience in telecommunications or networking preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Linux administration skills are a plus
- Experience working with VLANS, DHCP, Static and Dynamic Routing Protocols, MPLS, VPNs, VRRP, BGP, etc.
- Experience working with and configuring a variety of network and server hardware
- Other networking related credentials a plus (i.e. CCIE, CCNP, Network+)
- Basic knowledge of telecommunications systems and operations
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical requirements, methods of procedures, and product data sheets
- Skilled on use of MS Visio, G-Suite and MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) applications
- Experience in fixed wireless network design & implementation is a plus
- Good communication skills and learning capability
- IT staffing and placement such as Project Managers, Agile/Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, DBAs, Software Engineers, Mobile Developers (iOS, Android), DevOps, Automation, QA, Systems & Network Engineers, Cyber Security / Information Security Specialists, ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data and Creative (UI/UX, Web Design)
- Operational staffing and placement of Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, and Marketing professionals, as well as Information Technology resources.
