Visit https://www.hntb.com/locations/ for a list of all office locations.The candidate will be working within HNTB's Digital Innovation Group within the Asset Management and Resilience Solutions Team. Comprised of data analysts, GIS developers, planners and engineers, this team works on the most complex geospatial applications in the transportation industry. The asset management and resilience solutions team develops enterprise GIS solutions, applications, and databases and coordinates with HNTB client's server and data. The candidate will perform multiple concurrent assignments and may lead a small project of limited scope.This is a mid-level GIS/Geospatial solutions specialist position, assisting other mid-level, senior GIS and application developer staff and team leaders.Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions will include:Develops or customizes complex geospatial applications using comprehensive geospatial knowledge, project requirements and an understanding of client needs.

Assists senior staff or client in determining data and mapping needs and the most effective collection methods and technologies to meet those needs.

Meets with project team or client, and technology staff, to define and document system requirements.

Develops configuration specifications, conceptual and logical workflow and business process diagrams for system development, configuration or customization.

Creates and executes moderately complex system implementations according to established timeline, budget and quality expectations.

Leads projects of small to medium scope. Assists in the development of project scope, fees and proposals.

Serves as a technical resource in the application of one or more geospatial platform technologies, such as Esri, Bentley and Autodesk

Provides user support and solves moderately complex technical problems using geospatial data, tools or processes

Codes, tests, debugs and configures solutions at a moderate difficulty level. Thoroughly documents and tests all work produced.

May perform peer reviews on work performed by other staff.

May recommend enhancements or changes to technology, methodology and process standards. Interactively and iteratively improves both products and processes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:Expertise in the application of ArcGIS Online or Portal and ArcGIS Pro

Understanding and exposure to various databases such as Oracle or SQL Server; developing and configuring web services for data exchange

GIS analysis skills; especially in the realm of transportation

Familiar with scripting languages such Python, Arcade and SQL

GISP Certification

Continually evaluates work processes and contributes to technology, methodology and process standards.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Geography or other related degree

2 years related experience

In lieu of education, 6 years related experience
