The Cyber Security Defense (CSD) function within Global Information Security is responsible for all aspects of threat intelligence and monitoring, application and network security, and insider threat. In addition, the CSD team drives out the enterprise-wide cyber exercise program.

In this individual contributor role, the Business Control Manager will be responsible for working closely with Cyber Security Operations (CSO) issue owners to manage a portion of the CSO issue portfolio to include Audit, Compliance, Operational Risk, Regulatory and CSO identified risks, issues, control enhancements and Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs). This candidate will be responsible for monitoring progress on remediation activities on multiple issues and provide guidance as needed to issue owners. Additionally, they will be responsible for the escalation of potential roadblocks or concerns that may delay on time completion of issue remediation plans in partnership with issue owners and key stakeholders.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to effectively analyze and articulate risk, along with reporting status and actions for a complex control environment
  • Experience in cyber / information security domain knowledge and risk management
  • Critical thinking /problem solving/conceptual thinking
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and has a strong attention to detail
  • Strong analysis and fact-based decision making
  • Proven ability to communicate complex information in simple terms (oral and written)
  • Exhibit strong relationship management and interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:
  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree
  • CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM certification or similar
  • Detailed, bank specific risk management and governance experience.
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners
