The Cyber Security Defense (CSD) function within Global Information Security is responsible for all aspects of threat intelligence and monitoring, application and network security, and insider threat. In addition, the CSD team drives out the enterprise-wide cyber exercis e program.

The Business Governance & Strategic Priorities lead will assist in the execution of internal control discipline, operational excellence, and strategic priorities within the Cyber Security Operations organization. In this role, you will execute GIS processes and tools to drive alignment to enterprise-wide Standards, support the identification of goals and opportunities within GIS through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls, and identify issues and/or control improvements for remediation, while assisting in building out action plans and milestones. Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Operational Excellence Lead for CSO:
  • Drive Operational Excellence efforts
  • Work closely with process owners, process delegates and control owners to ensure divisional process inventory accurately reflects current environment
  • Support regular updates of process and control ratings, associated justifications and remediation plans if needed
  • Inform process owners of OE upcoming request and timelines and gather required information
  • Review processes, controls and policy/standards requirements to find opportunities for improvement
  • Socialize success stories of Operational Excellence wins
  • Control Strategy Governance & Management and Oversight
  • Help determine the strategic continuity input for critical roles across CSO
  • Location strategy across CSO based on critical role, concentration, and CTOC incorporation

Required Skills:
  • Experience in cyber / information security domain knowledge and risk management
  • Critical thinking / analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and has a strong attention to detail
  • Strong analysis and fact-based decision making
  • Proven ability to communicate complex information in simple terms (oral and written)
  • Exhibit strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter, highly organized, excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities

  • Influence horizontally and vertically across the organization and diverse audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding

Desired Skills:
  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree
  • Some knowledge of process engineering principles
  • Detailed, bank specific risk management and governance experience
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners
