Job Description

We are hiring a

Database Administrator to join out centralized IT team, located in Denver Tech Center.

You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL and Oracle databases on premise in local data center and in the Azure Cloud.

Essential Functions:

  • Work on building, configuring, and deploying SQL and Oracle databases as required. Ability to manage multiple Database Servers, including administration, application configurations, upgrades, and system patching.
  • Performance monitoring and reporting experience using various tools and scripted processes. Participate in appropriate meetings, workshops, and technical assessments. Ability to deploy database servers and code to Azure cloud.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for incident management and problem-solving to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform and test backup and recovery processes. Document methodologies used in the administration of databases, execution of requests, and standard reporting.
  • Supportthe Development Team for their database requirements including Dev, QA and production database design and buildouts.
  • Serveas the primary contact for resolving database performance, security and support issues. Serves as primary liaison between the company and Managed Services vendor regarding all database related activity.
  • Assist with the creation of policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management; monitors transaction activity and database utilization.
  • Definedocuments and performs routine database maintenance and administrative functions, including index maintenance and updating of various tables.
  • Providesupport to end users and Development and QA staff on all database issues. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline preferred but not required.
  • Five to seven years ofadministrative experience with Windows 2012/2016 Server, including practical experience with the virtualization of SQL databases is preferred. Strong network and server storage skills are required
  • Familiar with SSRS.
  • Oracle experience is required.
  • General Sys Admins skills are required.
