This position will lead and own the product function for PCM's two adjacent divisions, clinical research and homecare. The Director Product Management will work closely with clinical operations, finance, and business development operations to understand our current and evolving customer landscape to put us on the next growth trajectory and maintain and grow our market leader position. This position will use in-depth industry knowledge, competitor offerings, and market trends to build customized offerings that appeal to target customers. Additionally, this position will introduce product capabilities to supplement our strong historical offering, identify unmet customer needs, adjacent markets, and customers who may find our product appealing, define new product features, and introduce additional products and product line extension.

Position Summary

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • 7-10 years of work experience in product management.
  • Ability to introduce product driven outlook in a setting where it wasn't inherent previously, yet where product differentiation has become increasingly important.
  • Experience in clinical trials highly preferred, especially decentralized / remote clinical trials; other experience in the pharmaceutical industry a plus.
  • Strong ability to communicate concepts via a written report.
  • Proven track record of ability to quickly analyze a complex industry, then design well thought out product plans to offer the most appealing and differentiated product set to customers with evolving needs.
  • Strong analytical skills to frame opportunity statement, generate data, extract insights from data, and translate insights into actionable product design/packages that win market share.
  • Experience with products/services with long sales cycle.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management and other departments,
  • Strong influencing and facilitation skills required.

Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and operations colleagues to gain insight into what customers are looking for and customize new product/product extensions to differentiate our offering.
  • Develop well-written and well-thought-out product roadmap and product plans that can be justified by facts and evidence observed by researching the marketplace thoroughly.
  • Analyze competitor offerings to identify what differentiates our products and keep up to date on competitor offerings and industry trends.
  • Gain direct insight from key customers of their expectations and unmet needs, and refine our offering in order to consolidate our winning track record.
  • Investigate bids that we lost, analyze competitors' product offering, and create new product line or service offering that will enable us to win similar deals in the future.
  • Assist direct marketing team in better targeting and messaging of our customers as demonstrated by increased lead flow from existing customer segments and new leads from unpenetrated segments.
  • Identify key customer segments, growth potential, and likelihood of success in order to force rank opportunities and prioritize marketing and sales focus.
  • Other duties as assigned

For Colorado based applicants, the general range of pay is $121,750 - $203,000.The hiring pay would be based on years of experience and other market-based factors.
