Major brand acquisitions occurred in January of 2010 making Coors Distributing Company one of the top 25 largest beer distributors in the country with over 30 suppliers, roughly 14 million cases per year, and nearly 400 employees.The Headlines:In the role of IT Business Systems Analyst working in Denver, CO you will be part of the Information Technology (IT) team. This person will be responsible for understanding various systems and data as they relate in a wholesale distribution environment. The position involves exposure to each area of the full implementation lifecycle process, including architecture, development, analytics, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation and primary support for several key applications.This position reports to IT Manager and provides support to managers and end-users throughout CDC.The Responsibilities:
Provides end user support and expertise with the following solutions: Route Accounting Software (RAS) platform, Vermont Information Processing (VIP), Roadnet & Territory Planner, SQL Server, Margin Minder, and iDig
Performs ongoing auditing to validate process success and define requirements for needed enhancements to applications
Works in conjunction with end users, mid and senior level management and serves as the overall technical and subject matter expert for data related to all systems applications or modules assigned
Ensures that the Database environments are maintained to provide reliable services including working with service providers to ensure that the environment is stable and highly available; data mapping, database administration & data integrity
Leads reporting activities and administration efforts for various reporting tools; develop complex reporting and business intelligence solutions utilizing Margin Minder, DB2 thru ODBC connection, Excel, Ranker (VIP RAS Software), iDig, Access, and SQL including creation of database queries to provide users with ad hoc report needs and new report design specifications
The Other Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Finance or equivalent work experience
Strong skills in logical and physical relational database design, creation and building of data models; Need to understand referential integrity using primary and foreign keys to manage data
Preferred background in Financial Systems applications, including a detailed understanding of AP, GL, Procurement, AR processes, Warehouse Management, inventory control, supply-chain, and/or forecast/ordering applications
Experience in data management, analysis and reporting tools: MS SQL, DB2, Advanced Excel, MS Access, and Margin Minder
Ability to evaluate complex sets of data and circumstances from an enterprise perspective and formulate effective plans, procedures and programs
Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships in the course of performing assigned duties; including company management, executives, co-workers, customers, and outside business associates
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to perform multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines and priorities, in a fast paced, team environment
Experience in Wholesale Distribution (supply chain) environment using a Route Accounting software package a plus
