ResponsibilitiesPerform various assessments of financial crime and other compliance requirements for digital assets exchanges and other related market participants and platforms with federal, state, and foreign compliance rules and regulations.

Perform detailed fact finding, research, and analysis of trading activities and other securities transactions.

Perform review and analysis of outputs of compliance systems, including trading platforms.

Prepare client communications, both written and oral, for senior level review .

Responsible for engagement planning and managing/building client relationships.

QualificationsPreferred: Candidates who currently reside in either the New York City or Washington, DC area.

ACAMS, CPA, CA, CMA, CIA, CFI, and/or CFE certification.

Blockchain investigator certification or equivalent, preferable from the leading analytics firms.

Background and experience in Compliance or Internal Audit, preferably with a focus on AML/CTF compliance.

Current and demonstrable knowledge of the various blockchain projects and platforms including DeFi, DEX’s, and lending.

Juris Doctor (JD), preferably with a focus in securities law.

A mix of both industry/financial institution and management consulting firm experience.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.

7+ years of combined experience at a digital assets exchange, broker-dealer firm, or consulting firm providing advisory services to digital assets businesses.

Solid experience in a managerial / leadership role and team management skills.

Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Hands on experience using leading blockchain analytics software solution(s) such as Chainalysis, CipherTrace, TRM Labs, and Elliptic.

Excellent written and oral communication as well as interpersonal skills.

Stellar organizational and investigative skills.

Understands the various legal and regulatory issues that could affect an organization.

Understands the importance of privileged and confidential communications.

Commitment to quality and leading/working within a team.

Able to work on various projects simultaneously.

Able to travel when needed.
