We’re building a failsafe, redundant environment to brace emergency operations response in the energy and utilities industry. Our efforts will ensure critical decision-making data and dashboards are available when time is of the essence and lives are on the line. As Senior DevOps Engineer, you will leverage a diverse set of technical expertise, including DevOps tooling, troubleshooting and debugging skills, cloud computing, coding/scripting, and infrastructure engineering to provide a reliable and highly available environment for critical response. You’ll work in highly collaborative teams, leveraging cross-functional communication and relationship building skills. Your efforts to drive adoption and continuous improvement will result in a failsafe solution that significantly increases west coast public safety.

About the team

The Logic20/20 Digital Transformation team applies design thinking and next-gen technologies to solve our clients’ toughest business challenges. You’ll work side-by-side with architects, managers, and engineering consultants to gain a 360-degree perspective of the challenge at hand while contributing your unique perspective to develop innovative solutions.

About you

  • You have hands-on experience with AWS DevOps tools(Kinesis, CI/CD, etc.)
  • You have strong practical Linux or Windows Server administration skills
  • You have strong knowledge and experience with DNS, certificates and general knowledge of security associated with AWS-based cloud solutions (Route53, VPC config, etc.)
  • You understand and practice security principles, such as Zero Trust

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in IT build engineering, infrastructure support, and systems delivery
  • 5+ years of experience working in an AWS or Azure cloud environment
  • 5+ years of experience in software project life cycle activities, including designing, supporting, and deploying Internet-based products or services

Working knowledge of

  • Linux (command line, security, image creation)
  • Configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, etc.)
  • Infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, ARM templates, AWS CLI, Azure Powershell, Azure CLI, GCP, Pivotal, etc.)
  • Hardening and maintaining secure systems (Safe Harbor, PCI experience, etc.)
  • Shell scripting (Ruby, Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Networking and load balancers, including firewalls, DNS, VPCs, VPNs, DNS OSI layers, etc.
  • Database technologies (DynamoDB, MS SQL, etc.)
  • Source code repositories and source code management (Git, SVN, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • Pipeline automation (Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, and/or Jenkins)
  • Infrastructure and application logging and monitoring technologies (CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, PagerDuty, etc.)
  • Containers and orchestration (Docker, Mesos, AWS ECS, Marathon, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Internet standards (HTTP, DNS, FTP, SSH, HTML, XML, JDBC, ODBC, SNMP, or other protocols)
  • Programming (Java, Python, Bash)

Ideal, but not required

  • AWS or Azure certification
  • Knowledge of security automation tools (such as SonarQube) and DevSecOps experience
  • Python experience
