You will work on a variety of projects, including creating web-based applications for internal and external client use, web APIs, user interfaces, database design, financial data, architecture, and deployment. We are focused on our clients and develop iteratively to make sure they have the data, information and systems they need to move quickly on business problems. We value individuals who are resourceful problem solvers, craft clean, well-tested and optimized code, and are organized and committed to doing things right and getting things done.Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and teammates on enhancing existing products using C#, .NET, and .NET Framework
- Build RESTful APIs
- Support effort to migrate from .NET Framework to .NET, and adopt newer methodologies and architectures
- Practice TDD and/or write unit, integration, and e2e tests
- Grow expertise in several product areas surrounding financial services
- Work as part of a team including adhering to coding standards, writing clean code, maintaining history of code changes, writing documentation, and performing code reviews
- Use the Kanban Method to manage work within the team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years working experience with C#
- Expertise in .NET, .NET Framework, Entity Framework, and ASP .NET MVC
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Experience with MSSQL, strong in SQL and modeling
- Experience developing public-facing REST APIs, including authentication, security, monitoring and performance tuning, and documentation
- Understanding of information security controls and prevention, and resolution of vulnerabilities
- Experience with Message Queue technologies, such as Kafka or IBM MQ a plus
- Knowledgeable of agile development and test-driven development methodologies
- Experience in Financial Services industry
- Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies
- Ability to lead and take responsibility for projects
- Comfortable working independently and in a distributed team environment
