Schedule: Hybrid with 2 days in the officeLocation: Northwest DenverDepartment: Information Technology Services Type: Contract to HireHourly Rate: $35-$41/hour (depending on experience) We are partnered with an organization in the Denver area seeking System Administrators for their growing team.

As Systems Administrator II, you will be responsible for installation of new/updated system and server software and hardware as well as hardware and software required by client workstations. You will be responsible for installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. You will resolve problems with network and software used to develop and maintain the organization's infrastructure enterprise services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop and maintain a functional infrastructure for the organization's server class computers and the applications these servers support to optimize the use of networked hardware and software.
  • Active and frequent participation in the Infrastructure, Operations, and Security planning process, alone and as part of teams in order to establish and continually examine a long term plan for data network and systems.
  • Schedule and perform installation, maintenance, upgrades and changes to network and system devices. Examine and refine configuration where necessary as growth occurs to enhance performance.
  • Foster a cross-trained environment via preparation and maintenance of documents and seminars that will provide reference for support and coverage of network, system, and server operations in the event of such need.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other computer related discipline, from an accredited institution of higher education, and 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Windows and Linux operating systems, including integration and security issues.
  • Common networking protocols and services including SMTP, DNS, Active Directory, and LDAP.
  • Backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Hardware refresh and life cycle strategies
  • Update and maintenance cycle planning and management
  • Electronic mail and other Internet services/resources.
  • Routing and switching, including Cisco hardware and services.
  • VoIP and unified communications technologies.
  • Enterprise network management and monitoring solutions.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Server and applications
  • Functional knowledge of Virtualization and Hyper Converged Infrastructure
