What You’ll Need to Succeed- Some consulting experience (with small or mid-sized businesses is even better)
- Outstanding troubleshooting skills
- Exceptional customer-facing skills, excellent customer service, and professionalism
- Willingness to support occasional after-hours and weekend work
- 5+ years of installing and administering Windows Server environments (Windows 2008 - 2019)
- 3+ years’ experience migrating and managing Office 365 and/or Google Workspace (GSuite)
- Hands on experience deploying and managing cloud computing environments including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
- Experience deploying and managing VMware ESXi 5.5 - 7.0
- Experience working as an independent consultant or with a consulting company balancing multiple clients’ needs and priorities
- Ability to proactively identify improvements for existing IT systems and infrastructure, including hardware, software, network, and security enhancements
- Ability to plan, propose, and execute projects with minimal oversight
- Experience working with small to mid-sized clients in person, on the phone, and via email
- Clear understanding of networking technologies including routers, firewalls, switches, etc.
- Experience with monitoring services and handling after hours on-call emergencies
