Job Title

Line Cook

Job Summary

Responsible for aiding in the operation of all line production including that used for restaurants, banquet, functions and catering events.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepares a variety of different meat, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using Castle Pines Golf Club recipes.

2. Assists in all food prep operations for all food outlets of the Club.

3. Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.

4. Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.

5. Completes required tasks within assigned time frames.

6. Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grill, fryer, flat top, burners, sinks and refrigeration equipment

7. Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.

8. Cooks only items generated from the restaurant point of sale system

9. Knows and complies consistently with Castle Pines Golf Club standards that include portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.

10. Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.

11. Reports to shift on time and in proper uniform.

12. If a meal is returned for any reason, correct the problem and report the return to a manager.

13. Performs related duties such as helping wash dishes, as needed, kitchen maintenance and help with any other projects as assigned by the kitchen manager.

14. Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager on duty.

Qualifications/Expertise

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant, hotel, private club restaurant kitchen experience

2. Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.

3. Be able to reach, bend and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

4. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Executive Chef and any Sous Chef.
