Title: Optimization Modeler

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Client is seeking an Optimization Modeler to join its AI Development and Delivery Team. Qualified candidates must have demonstrated success in analyzing complex problems relating to scheduling, waiting lines, or supply chain scenarios. One must be capable of determining the best optimization mechanism, objective function and constraints, and design and successfully develop optimization algorithms. Applications include resource scheduling, vehicle routing, patient scheduling, production planning, and inventory optimization. This position will be a member of client's growing AI Development and Delivery team. You will be surrounded by top talent and have access to state-of-the-art hybrid development environments. Essential Functions
  • Analyzing and documenting business and technical requirements
  • Producing design documents and leading design review sessions
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and technical resources
  • Writing code, unit tests, and build/deployment scripts
  • Participating in code reviews.
  • Executing performance/scalability/reliability tests
Experience and Skills
  • Five plus years of experience in optimization area
  • Command of core techniques such as Linear Programming, Integer Programming, Dynamic Programming, Constraint Programming, Stochastic Process, Job Shop Scheduling, Heuristics and Algorithms, etc.
  • Command of MIP modeling. Experience with IBM's CPLEX or Google's OR tools
  • Advanced critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Proficient programming skills, Java, C, Python
  • Applied experience with Docker, Gitlab, Google Cloud, etc.

  • BSmandatory
  • MSpreferred
  • Major: Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Mathematics, or Statistics.
