Hand ladles molten metal into chamber of machine when operating cold-chamber machine
Pushes button to close and lock dies and activate plunger that forces molten metal into die cavities
Removes casting after dies open automatically, using pliers or tongs
Blows metal fragments from die surfaces, using air hose, and brushes lubricant into die cavity and onto plunger
Inspects casting for defects using fixed gauges when necessary
Must be able to use calipers and interpret manufacturing specifications
Place castings in containers or onto conveyor for additional operations
Must dip furnace at the end of each shift
Must produce castings in accordance with Manufacturing Specifications
Must have 1 year or more of Die Cast experience
Must be willing to work night shift M-TH (4:30 PM - 3:00 AM)
