This position is for a part-time cashier/Stocker on Friday and Saturday at a local liquor store. The store is located in a safe, high traffic area that is surrounded by restaurants and businesses. The store is open 7 days a week. The applicant must be at least 21 years old.
The employee will be responsible for:
closing the store
using a computerized cash register to record customer transactions
assisting customers in the selection of beer, wine, spirits and beverages
stocking the shelves and beer cooler
keeping the work area neat and tidy
The following skills are required:
1. The ability to read and write in English and communicate effectively with customers in English.
2. The ability to exhibit a positive customer service attitude
3. The ability to lift 10-15 pounds
4. After training demonstrate the ability to utilized the cash register to record transactions
5. Timeliness
6. The ability to maintain a good attendance record
The following skills are a plus, but not required:
Bilingual
Knowledge of beer, wine and liquor
