The Systems Administrator II role assists as a member of a team that oversees the operation of the computer systems, including its installation, updates, and maintenance. Responsibilities include server builds (middleware), systems performance and availability planning and troubleshooting, security and vulnerability identification and remediation, application health monitoring and alerting, system recovery and failover events, implementation and improvement of best practices. This role works within the team and with other teams to accomplish expected duties.
Commonly Asked Questions:This will be a full remote position right now, with the intent to be on-site in Denver in the future when such work is deemed COVID-19 safe. Possibility for extensions, more so than conversion. As with all roles, conversion is dependent on need and ability to obtain head count. There is no guarantee for FTE conversion. The initial interview will be a primarily technical interview, with some time being spent to determine culture fit and potential team fit. Second interview will be with the team to answer team questions and determine more of the fit with the team. Skills: 3-5 years of experience in technical skill sets to include:- Windows OS
- Active Directory
- IIS
- Backups
- High availability
- Data security including NTFS, share permissions, SFTP/FTPS, SSL/TLS
- Windows Clustering
- Disaster recovery
- 3-Tier application infrastructure
- ColdFusion experience preferred but not required
- Monitoring and alerting systems
- VMware infrastructure
- Best practices management
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required
