Job Summary:
This position manages a critical Data Engineering team and has primary responsibility of building Enterprise class Data Integration solutions, a next Generation Data Platform and other critical data engineering capabilities. This position is responsible for defining best practices around enterprise class data platforms and developing core data engineering capabilities. This role will require extensive contact with all management levels and other internal customers and is required to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex information technology issues. Manages a team of Data engineers responsible for building solutions which are flexible, performant and scalable. Incumbents must have in- depth knowledge of data management and data integration
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages a team of Data Engineers and is responsible for the delivery of a next gen Data Platform. ¨
- Collaborates with multiple teams, understands the overall enterprise Data Architecture and ¨executes on delivering
a Next Gen Data Warehouse and other critical Data Engineering capabilities. ¨
- Helps the team by being hands on as needed. Expectation is that the manager is very technical and ¨has a breadth
of experience in various Data initiatives. ¨
- Leads projects to successful completion as defined by predetermined project success criteria ¨including those
established by the business, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within ¨budget. ¨
- Focus on designing and developing highly scalable, efficient and reliable data infrastructure to scale ¨and compute
to meet business objectives. ¨
- Drives IT solutions to ensure they meet the business needs balanced with a pragmatic and ¨integrated approach to
the design of technical solutions. ¨
- Focuses on workforce development and ensures that a strong team is built. ¨
- Remains up to date on key technology, business and industry trends. ¨
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. ¨
Experience and Skills: ¨
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience including management or leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. ¨
- Experience with a breadth of Data Integration tools, Databases, Big Data Platforms, Data Streaming technologies. ¨
- Strong Oracle database development experience, PL/SQL, ETL experience and some exposure to newer technologies like Big data. Prior experience leading a team is required.
$150k-$165k Base + Bonus
