The Quality Assurance Analyst Manual QA Engineer role should be able to develop and establish quality assurance standards within the organization. This individual will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include adhering project to testing lifecycle, for tracking defects and for fixes in software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The primary role of this QA would be to test UI, MT and DB lane of a well established application along with testing the same on iPad device. Hands on experience in testing mobile application across iOS and Android is a plus. Should be skilled to understand working across environments and collaborate with DEVs. Hands on experience in using tools like Jira, Test Rail, HP-ALM, Saucelabs on a daily basis. This QA role will need to work very closely with Dev, QA and DevOps team. Should be able to create test plan as well as document them further into test cases in test rail tool. This QA should be well versed with testing MT APIs using Postman or Swagger tools. Database testing experience for backend is must. Experience in QA Automation or Performance is a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION % OF TIME Test Strategy and Planning 50% 1. Review requirements and design documents to ensure adequate understanding to develop test plans, test scenarios and test cases 2. Creates and executes test cases to ensure appropriate test coverage 3. Mine for data, backend validation, and perform data quality analysis via SQL 4. Recommend improvements and/or corrections to developers for products assigned Test Project Management and Coordination 40% 5. Estimate effort required to perform all QA activities assigned. Should be strong in Agile/SAFE Agile + QA SDLC 6. Lead distributed teams at projects level & is well versed with Scrum ceremonies 7. Lead multiple projects from QA perspective 8. Lead defect triage meetings 9. Other duties as assigned. 10. Active participation in project ceremonies and lead as necessary 11. Provide recommendations and lead (as applicable) to streamline and improve processes 12. Coordinate and communicate with Project resources across the distributed teams to complete assigned projects Operational Management 10% 13. Document status and final reports for QA activities 14. Document and lead risks mitigation plans during project lifecycle 15. Troubleshoots and resolves or recommends solutions to a diverse range of complex software testing problems.
