JOB SUMMARY
Wholesale Fuel Transport Drivers, Hazmat, Class A, and/or Tanker drivers play a vital role in ensuring our customers have the finest quality fuel available. As a Wholesale Fuel Transport Driver, you will be responsible for loading and delivering loads of petroleum products and providing customer service, maintaining professional image and sales as part of the company team.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Proper pre and post trip truck and trailer inspections
Safely drive loaded and empty tanker trucks of various sizes, makes/models and configurations
Properly load and unload; hauling, hooking and unhooking hoses
Operating pumps and valves for loading and unloading, both on and off the truck
Evaluating the dangers of the location and judging the different methods and plans and understanding the application of first-aid as and when the situation demands
Safely fill tanks of all types and sizes using various hoses, nozzles and fittings; safely using pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, hammers and other hand tools
Observing his/her work carefully in order to anticipate the problems early and adopting safety measures like using safety mechanisms while working
Accurately complete driver logs, both paper and/or electronic, pre and post trip forms, invoices and other paperwork as required
Courteously work with bosses, dispatchers, fellow employees and customers
JOB REQUIREMENTS
ABILITY TO WORK A VARIED WORK SCHEDULE AS NEEDED
Minimum age of hire is 23 years old
Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements
Must be able to pass a FuelCo provided DOT physical and FCE upon employment, be issued & maintain a one or two-year DOT Medical card while employed
Current 1 year DOT medical (physical) card & I-9 employment documentation
MINIMUM 1 year of verifiable and consistent class A tanker experience out of the last 2 years Fuel Hauling Experience Preferred Recent Relevant (Tanker) Experience Preferred (Frac Water, Chemicals, Drilling Mud, Etc.)
No drug or alcohol violation in connection with a motor vehicle
No reckless driving violations
No more than 3 moving violations in the past 36 months or 2 moving violations in 24 months
Minimal driving violations (MVR and PSP Reporting)
Pass company road test, pre-employment DOT drug screen, FCE Testing
Ability to work collaboratively with all departments within the organization
Strong drive to consistently meet or exceed objectives and maintain focus
ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
The ability to walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat and climb, as necessary to perform vehicle inspections required under 49 CFR Sections 396.11-15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Must be able to lift without assistance up to 75 pounds, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods of time without much movement
Ability to work in time-sensitive environments with non-flexible deadlines
All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English
POSITION DETAILS
Scheduled Rotation: Dependent On Location
Local To Denver & Surrounding Areas
Paid Per Hour: Pay Based on DOE and Shift Differential Overtime Pay accrued after 40 hours up to 70 hours per rotation
Average miles driven per day: 300-600
Quarterly Safety Bonus: Based on individual driver performance and longevity (offered after 90 days of employment and position within the quarterly year)
Employee Referral Bonus Program: $500 awarded after the employee referral has completed 90 days of employment with FuelCo Energy
