Job Description
The ideal candidate will be an engaged and supportive teammate, appreciate XP practices, doggedly track down issues, and implement robust solutions that span the entire stack of the application. You should feel comfortable mentoring other developers, navigating the complexities of the microservices architecture, and actively participating in discussions and decisions about testing, CI/CD, scaling, UX, and other engagement with the business. We'll expect you to advocate for, and when necessary, insist upon technical improvements and refactoring as usage patterns continue to grow and evolve.
Qualifications
- Responsibilities:
- Be a technical leader, and a contributing and supportive team member.
- Help set, improve, and adhere to team agreements and development standards.
- Design, code, debug and assist with QA on existing bugs and new product enhancements for the enterprise application.
- Produce reusable and maintainable solutions that are highly performant and maintain rigorous security standards.
- Lead development efforts on large epic initiatives and complex 3rd party integrations.
- Participate in code reviews, team training, and mentorship of junior developers.
- Assist QA and DevOps in QA efforts and maintenance of the development environments.
- Evaluate new and emerging technologies for various business needs.
- Production application troubleshooting, problem identification, and resolution.
- Skills
- 10+ years of software development/software engineering experience.
- Significant, demonstratable experience with Java, Spring Boot, and React.
- Experience with architecting and developing microservices.
- Experience with AWS and enterprise application scaling.
- Experience with message brokering middleware such as RabbitMQ or Amazon MQ.
- XP Practices and an Agile mindset in the Scrum Framework.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and GitFlow.
- Interest and exposure to blockchain.
- Comfortable interacting and collaborating with non-technical departments on solutions that are best for the organization.
