Applicants for this position will be required to have one of the following: a Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or Child Psychology, OR have current certification as a Child Development Associate or Certified Childcare Professional OR Nine semester hours in college-level credits in the area of child growth and development and/or early childhood education, OR at least 6 months working with young children in a group setting. Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.: Provides operational and supervisory support to the KVC Supervisors and Manager Work in all childcare rooms as a provider while also helping KVC Childcare Supervisor to train and manage KVC staff as needed Manage staff levels and guest relations when KVC Childcare Supervisor is not on site Comfort sad children Communicates with parents to make KVC a successful experience for children Other duties, as assigned

Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job: Must be minimum 18 years of age Previous Kids’ Vacation Center preferred Must be flexible with hours worked (weekends and holidays) Must work and maintain a positive, friendly attitude with parents, children and co-workers in a busy, hectic and sometimes stressful atmosphere while maintaining composure and excellent customer service skills Must be able and willing to work in all childcare rooms, caring for children ages 1-6 years. Must be flexible, creative and enthusiastic in a variety of changing and demanding situations Adhere to all safety policies Must meet at least one of the following: Bachelors or Associates degree in child development, early childhood education or child psychology from an accredited college or university, or Current certification as a Child Development Associate or Certified Childcare Professional, or Nine semester hours in college-level credits in the area of child growth and development and/or early childhood education, or At least six months experience working with young children in a group setting One year of supervisory experience preferred Must hold current First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens Manage guest registration and sign up via the RTP client Must be able and willing to work outside with lessons as needed. Problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers Be a consistent role model for company’s Service Excellence standards

Physical Requirements: Frequently lift and carry small children (approx. 50 lbs.) Must stand for long periods of time Participate in indoor/outdoor play activities and lessons with children Communicate easily with young children Must communicate clearly in English

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base hourly pay range:$15.50 - $21.00 per hour
