Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for a

Technical Product Manager who can own the end-to-end lifecycle of Data related products, who is passionate about understanding customers' needs, can drive continuous advancements and improvements within team, is great at solving problems, can build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Product Development, Operations, Analytics), is comfortable addressing and resolving ambiguity, is continually pushing yourself and those around you to deliver business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Interact with users, business and product teams, empathize with their pain points, analyze their data needs and drive end to end solutioning of data driven solutions
  • Define product vision, roadmap, backlogs and ensure execution excellence with business outcome-oriented metrics. Drives use cases through complete lifecycle
  • Ensure the highest levels of data quality, reliability, security and usability in all deliverables
  • Work closely with end users, data engineering teams, solution architects, data platform teams to design best in class solutions and drive joint priorities
  • Establish contemporary, best in class data management practices in line with the architectural Northstar defined by the organization
  • Mentoring junior team members on technical and functional skills. Functional knowledge of business processes is good to have.

Skills - Experience and Requirements
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in building data products with excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Deep knowledge of Big Data technologies with at least 5 years of technical hands on data engineering experience
  • Knowledge on data platforms like Cloud Platforms, Hadoop; data engineering tech stack including Kafka, Spark, SQL, Tableau, ElasticSearch, Druid, etc.
  • Track record of leading complex, large scale data projects and data products
  • Strong leadership skills for driving and collaborating cross functional groups
  • Bachelor degree in a technical field (preferably computer science)

You would be considered a great fit for this role if you have the following:
  • 5+ years of experience in working in agile methodology
  • 5+ years of product management experience with high-quality and large-scale services including customer analysis, product development and delivery, KPI management, operational management and roadmap development
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Great verbal and written communication to executives and ability to work effectively on shared projects across other Sling teams
  • Strong understanding of how to build successful end-to-end customer experience products and services
  • Ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
  • A positive attitude, with outstanding creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in using data to drive product decisions
