Trigyn's direct client has a contract assignment for Sr. Software Development Engineer in Englewood, CO. The particulars of the position are as follows.
General Responsibilities: Oversight and ownership of design, develop, debug, and modifies components of software applications and tools. Owns the technical direction at the application/product level for small to mid-sized projects. Design, spec, schedule and provide quality implementation of a component or feature. Provide alternative solutions to a given problem. Resolve problems and roadblocks, with management assistance if required. Follow through on details and drive issues to closure. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Actively participate in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others. Work collaboratively with all members of technical staff. Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components. Participates in and provides input to requirements definition. Usually provides solid judgment calls and tradeoff analysis. Level III Senior resource with considerable and extensive experience leading a team. Build functional systems that will integrate into the workflow of high throughput search applications; Execute proof of concepts with intent to move into production; Leads a team of 1-2 engineers to deliver on projects and milestones; Mentors junior engineers and helps build up the team; Works with peers in stakeholder groups to build consensus on designs and implementation plans.Technical skills: Expert level experience building highly available and scalable systems Expert level experience with Java & Kotlin Intermediate level experience with Kafka streaming, Ability to break down complex problems and drive towards solutions leveraging your team along the way owning end to end outcome and designing real-time low latency solutions. Exposure in web services development, web and/or application containers, microservices and distributed architecture. Proficient in Redis and ElasticSearch Proficient with monitoring tools such as Splunk, DataDog and Grafana. Must have prior experience working in agile environment. Must have prior experience in leading and mentoring junior engineers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work well in and across the teams. Passion for customer experience and outcomes. Travel or advertising industry experience preferred. Must have the ability to think through designs and analyze the impact of the product.
