Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Sterile Processing Technician Lead, you will work under the direction of the SPD manager and will be responsible for the daily operations and workflow of your shift. You will perform duties independently, work proficiently without supervision and serve as a resource for all aspects of sterilization processing of surgical instrumentation.Here is some of what you can expect from being a Sterile Processing Technician Lead with us:

You will perform in the role, monitor others in the department, and are responsible for assuring work completion and standard/best practice compliance.

You will demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in instrument handling and sterilization.

You will provide education on sterilization, instrumentation, and equipment.

You will demonstrate experience, training, initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness in problem solving.

You will prioritize tasks, assist the manager in preparing reports and ordering supplies, and ensure that the department's customer service is exceptional.

You will serve as the Customer Service Specialist with OR staff, surgeons, and other departments they serve to resolve issues and enhance service.

What qualifications you will need:

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is preferred.

Certification as a Central Sterile Processing Technician is required (IAHCSMM or CBSPD).

High School Diploma or GED.

One (1) year minimum experience as an Instrument Room or Operating Room Technician.

One (1) year as a lead technician.
