The Family Center/La Familia is a high quality family resource and early childhood center located in North Fort Collins. We are a community-based site that also participates in the Early Head Start Program and the Colorado Preschool Program through Poudre School District. Our Early Care and Education program, known as El Nidito or “The Little Nest,” is dedicated to providing safe, stimulating and nurturing education for all young children.

We are currently looking for full-time, Lead Early Childhood Teacher qualified Program Support team members. Job Description – Early Childhood Program Support:

Program Support team members, under the supervision of the Early Childhood Education Director, are responsible for supporting quality and consistent early learning and care experiences by providing classroom coverage and support in all El Nidito classrooms as needed. They work in collaboration with the classroom teaching teams to provide effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure curriculum implementation and use of assessment, and promote children’s progress. This is a full-time, year-round position.

Education/Knowledge & Experience Minimum Qualifications:

 Early Childhood Lead Teacher Qualifications set by the Colorado Office of Early Childhood

 Minimum of 6 months experience working with children ages 6 weeks through 5 years

 Ability to apply Early Child Development theory in daily classroom activities and adapt to the individual needs of children

 Preferred: Associate, Baccalaureate or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education

 Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Compensation:

Starting pay $15-$17 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
