Assistant Construction Project Manager / Owner's Representative (Northern Colorado)

Position Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager that can work closely with a Senior Project Manager on public sector (library, fire stations, police, schools) projects in, Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. The candidate will be responsible for supporting our team to oversee multi-million dollar projects from initial planning through design to construction close-out. The candidate will be integral to the project team including the owner, architect, contractor, and various consultants.

Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:

a. Tracking master project budgets

b. Assembling Request for Proposals for design, construction. Team member will track proposal progress

c. Procuring Services for surveyors, geotechnical, movers and other contractors.

d. Attending design and construction meetings, taking minutes, and following through on issues.

e. Estimate review and validation

f. Tracking design and construction issues

g. Change order review and validation

j. Tracking issues related to project goals including sustainability

k. Permit tracking, regulating authority approval tracking

l. Assembling, tracking and following through on purchase orders

m. Monitoring construction quality, generating field reports

n. Tracking schedule related issues

o. Generate monthly reports to ownership groups

p. Initial pay application and invoice review for payment

Credentials Desired:

a. Sense of Humor

b. Ability to work autonomously and as a team

c. A Degree in Construction Management, Estimating, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related disciplined. Approximately 5 years of Project Management, Owner's Representation or related AEC experience

e. Good driving record and reliable vehicle as much time will be spent attending meetings and construction sites

f. Organizational skills

g. Leadership, business and entrepreneurial skills

h. LEED Accreditation and experience on sustainable projects

i. Software skills including Bluebeam, MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Project

j. Project experience with multi-million dollar projects - public and/or private
