As a member of the Forestry team, incumbents in this position perform a variety of semi-skilled, skilled and technical work in landscape design, care, and maintenance of the town's landscaped and forested areas including maintenance, disease and insect control, and plant identification of flowers, trees, and shrubs common to the Rocky Mountain area. Requires a general knowledge of parks and right of way design and construction including irrigation, soil preparation, sodding, and seeding. The incumbent works in partnership with other employees, departments/divisions, external entities, and the public in delivering effective and innovative services. Provide holistic services to internal and external customers by seeking ways to integrate programs or services provided by other departments, divisions, and external entities.
Pay Range: $17.79 to $22.24 depending on qualifications and experience.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL TRAINING
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture, landscape management or related field
Two year progressive experience in horticulture or nursery production with commercial landscape maintenance
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
A valid Colorado Driver's License that meets the Town of Windsor's standards; ability to maintain throughout employment
Current Traffic Control Flagger certification, or ability to within 3 months of employment
Pesticide Applicator license preferred
