Location: Windsor, CO
Need: part time caregiver
Client is a 32 year old male quadriplegic (C4-C5). He enjoys cooking with the help of his caregivers and friends, watching MMA fights, movies and likes to hunt, etc.
Client is looking for assistance with:
- Cooking and feeding
- Getting up in the morning or getting ready for bed (depending on shift)
- Getting dressed/ undressed
- Daily hygiene: showers, brushing teeth, brushing hair, etc
- bowel program, basic catheter care, and occasional help with incontinence
- transferringin and out of his wheelchair with the use of his hoyer lift
- may help with giving him his medications
Additional duties include but are not limited to:
- Laundry
- Dishes
Qualifications: Experience is great but not necessary. Client is well-versed in his needs and will provide training to coach you through his care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accountability, great attendance, respect, patience, and be a clear communicator. Humor is a plus!
If you are looking at going to nursing school, this is a great entry level position that will help you gain qualified hours for your application.
Morning shift: 2.5-3hours
Evening shift: 2-2.5hours
Pay:
Weekday coverage: $20/hour
Weekend coverage: $20/hour+ a weekend shift BONUS of an extra $5/hour.
Paid every 2 weeks.
