Description Unit: Food and NutritionLocation: Greeley HospitalWork Schedule: Full Time DaysSummary:Cooks and prepares food for distribution to patients, the cafeteria, and catering services.Responsibilities:Reviews menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared.

Follows standardized recipes in preparation of all foods. Plans cooking schedule with supervisor and/or exec chef to ensure food will be ready at specified times.

Confers with supervisor and/or exec chef regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers.

Adheres to all applicable guidelines regarding the storage, handling and preparation of food as well as in the sanitation and maintenance of work area.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.Requirements:Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED, or in lieu of HS/GED, satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test is required. Exception - neither HS/GED nor competency testing are required for positions at Yampa Valley Medical Center (YVMC).

Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience.

The pay range for this position is: $18.54 - $24.10 / hour.
